Integrated Environmental Solutions, LLC (IES) is seeking to immediately hire multiple archeological field technicians to assist with projects within Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. IES is in the process of surveying approximately 4,000 acres for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District and will be starting survey for a major fiber optic line project in the coming weeks. We also have ongoing Phase III excavation at a prehistoric habitation site and cemetery. We have sufficient work underway and planned to keep applicants busy continuously for the next 6 to 8 months, which could be extended or lead to permanent positions. Applicants with Phase III experience will be given priority ranking to assist with the Phase III project.

Compensation
  • Initial pay will be $19.50 to $22/hr based on experience.
  • Per diem will be based on GSA rate for project location.
  • Overtime beyond 40hrs per week is expected and will be paid at time and half
  • Single occupancy lodging will be provided
  • Typical Schedule -10 days rotations and standard Monday through Friday schedules will be required.
  • Maximum 8 to 10hr days anticipated
  • 401k available after 6 months of employment.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in anthropology, archeology, or a closely related field
  • Have a minimum of 12 months field experience or have completed an accredited archeology field school required
  • Experience conducting archeological monitoring and/or survey
  • Experience recording sites, completing field notes and paperwork, and familiarity with GPS and GIS technology
  • Must be able to mobilize quickly
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical Demands:

Physical requirements for project will included:
  • Regularly required to use hands, walk, sit, talk, and listen, stand; climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Survey work will require hiking long distances daily over rugged terrain while shovel testing
  • Work is less than favorable environmental conditions
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds.
