HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Manager, Consumer Insights & Analytics is responsible for leading critical Consumer Insights programs, managing and analyzing data across qualitative and quantitative initiatives, and driving data visualization for impactful storytelling. This role requires a deep understanding of market and macro trends to inform business strategies and the ability to monitor competitive activity and trends.
This role reports into the Senior Director, Consumer Insights and is based in our corporate Buckhead office on-site 4 days a week.
50% Lead/Co-Lead and Project Manage across critical Consumer Insights programs
40% Market Trends and Competitive Analysis Expert
10% Social Listening, Data Mining, and New Method Development

50% Lead/Co-Lead and Project Manage across critical Consumer Insights programs
- Manage and analyze data across both Qualitative and Quantitative initiatives
- Design custom quantitative surveys based on aligned business questions and study objectives
- Synthesize complex data analyses and communicate clearly and effectively to stakeholders across the organization
- Leverage dynamic data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Excel for impactful storytelling
- Supervise vendor performance and ensure adherence to budget and schedules
- Conduct ad hoc analyses for key internal clients, as requested
- Develop and manage RFP process, including vendor selection
40% Market Trends and Competitive Analysis Expert
- Socialize market and macro business trends to inform business strategies
- Monitor competitive activity and trends, create cadence and process for cross functional share outs
- Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, and Retail teams to create content for strategic meetings
- Mine secondary and syndicated research for trends to inform innovation and customer activations
10% Social Listening, Data Mining, and New Method Development
- Continuously track information on market trends involving retail, social networking, e/mobile marketing, e/mobile commerce
- Monitor eMarketer, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc. as source material for consumer trends
- Interweave syndicated and secondary research results with primary research and social media findings
- Scan the marketplace for cutting edge research techniques and develop recommendations for adding relevant techniques/methodologies to the Carter's Inc. research toolkit
WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Must have:
- 5+ years of successful experience in designing/leading complex quantitative and/or qualitative research projects including: Formulating research objectives, Determining optimal research methodology, Survey design, Analyzing complex data sets, Merging qualitative as well as quantitative insights to derive actionable implications for the business
- 5+ years of experience driving data visualization and strong storytelling abilities using Excel and Tableau or PowerBI
- 5+ years of Market Research, Consumer Insights, Marketing, or Business Analyst experience
- Experience analyzing Circana (NPD/IrI), Mintel, and/or Nielsen data
- Sharp attention to detail and strong project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style/ability to flourish in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred skills and experience:
- Tableau experience a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Consumer Insights/Market Research experience in Retail or CPG
- College Degree in one of the following fields preferred: Marketing, Statistics, Psychology, Cultural Anthropology, Business Administration
