Quality Enterprises (or Earth View or QE Concrete) is looking for a Archeologist to join our team. Quality Enterprise's Archeologist prepares protection plans and oversees methods for protection of historical, archaeological, and cultural resources on large-scale projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Must be present on job site throughout all construction activity.
  • Prepare an Archeological Monitoring Plan in accordance with the USACE officers.
  • Maintain daily and weekly logs of Archaeological Monitoring Reports and communicate with the Contracting Officer and USACE on a weekly basis.
  • Submit weekly logs to USACE in addition to submitting annual and final incidental take reports containing all incidents and any direct/indirect construction-related effects.
  • Coordinate daily with on-site crew to ensure zero impacts to cultural, historic, or archeological resources. This will be applied to all ground-disturbing activities that have the potential to adversely affect previously unidentified historic properties.
  • Review information related to unanticipated finds as well as any necessary response and follow-up to construction activities with unanticipated finds.
  • Discuss procedures for protection of all visible resources within the project area with the USACE.
  • Mark visible archaeological remains for equipment operators to be aware of where materials are located for avoidance.
  • Conduct training for contracting office, on-site Corps personnel, contractor, and subcontractors after consultation with the Corp's archeologist.
  • Attend weekly meetings on the progress of the project and update project personnel regarding cultural, historical, and archaeological monitoring.
  • Support other departments with reporting and other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in archeology or anthropology required.
  • At least one year of full-time professional experience or equivalent specialized training in archeological research, administration, or management.
  • At least four months of supervised field and analytic experience in general North American archeology.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry research to completion.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision to complete assigned tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to move light objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
