ERG is offering a full-time mid-level Lab Assistant/Archaeologist position, for cultural materials processing, analysis, and curation. This is a full-time lab position with writing responsibilities and the opportunity for occasional field work.

This position requires a minimum of a M.A. in anthropology, archaeology, or a related field, must have a field school, and 2-3 years archaeological lab and/or museum collections experience.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist Lab Manager with managing logistics of the lab, including personnel and equipment.• Perform and assist with lab processing, such as cleaning, artifact analysis, artifact photography, labeling, and data entry.• Assist in curation preparation of records and artifact collections for transfer to project designated repositories• Be organized and detail oriented, meet deadlines, maintain a schedule, and multi-task to ensure timely and accurate production of lab deliverables and assigned writing tasks.• Communicate effectively with lab personnel and others verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
• M.A in Archaeology, Anthropology, Museum Studies, or a related field.• Experience with and proficiency in Historic material identification and analysis• Prior experience in the Cultural Resource Management (CRM):field and laboratory.• Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint
Salary ranges from $60-65k, commensurate with experience. Bonuses are offered for exceptional performance. Benefits package includes health insurance, paid holiday and vacation, and a 401(k) plan with employer contribution regardless of employee contribution. A relocation stipend may be considered.
