We are seeking a full-time Archaeologist/Cultural Resource Consultant to assist us with our current telecom projects in our Lubbock, TX office.
Candidates would assist a current team with preparing documents and reports and reviewing those prepared by a 3rd party company to ensure that all projects' aspects meet Federal and State compliance requirements.

Description
We are seeking a full-time Archaeologist/Cultural Resource Consultant to assist us with our current telecom projects in our Lubbock, TX office.
Candidates would assist a current team with preparing documents and reports and reviewing those prepared by a 3rd party company to ensure that all projects' aspects meet Federal and State compliance requirements.
Basic Job Duties
- Consultation and development of proposals, methodologies, and research designs; coordinate field and laboratory crews; Coordinate and assist internal and external clients with cultural resources regulatory compliance.
- Support and oversee the development of state and local land use and environmental permitting efforts, including conditional/special use permits and certificates of environmental compatibility.
- Coordinate with 3rd party companies as they prepare environmental documents for permitting, with State and Federal Agencies like but not limited to, BLM, NMSLO, DOT's, and USFS.
- Work closely with the project team to navigate cultural resource challenges and meet client needs.
- Work may include project compliance or fieldwork support, budget and milestone coordination, and proposal or scope-of-work development support.
- Attend meetings with clients and be able to articulate updates on projects.
- Provide excellent leadership at the project, team, and office level by demonstrating leadership behaviors and professionalism.
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field.
- Minimum of three years of archaeological experience with a professional cultural resource, architectural, engineering firm, or a federal or state agency.
- Candidate should have an extensive working knowledge of federal and state laws (e.g., NEPA, NHPA, CWA, and ESA) governing natural resource management.
- Demonstrated experience with federal agencies such as US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), US Forest Service (USFS), and/or US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and other state/local agencies is preferred.
- Experience and ability to manage multiple smaller projects or one or two larger projects in diverse settings and with changing requirements.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced work environment and desire to work in a highly collaborative team atmosphere.
- Able to resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
