Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#129300) at the rank of Lecturer. This position is for Spring 2024 only. The start date for the appointment is January 1, 2024.
An interest in contributing to a program that emphasizes social justice, a willingness to work with a diverse study body that includes many first-generation college students, and a commitment to, and evidence of, quality undergraduate teaching is expected. Required Education
A master of arts in sociology or at least 18 hours of graduate courses in Sociology is required by the appointment date.
Other Desirables
Applicants with a PhD in Sociology or a closely related field and those qualified to teach courses in Introductory Sociology, Marriage and Family, Family Violence, and Race/Ethnicity will receive special consideration.
