This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Archaeologist for our Washington DC office. Be involved in projects with our Heritage and Cultural Resources Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

  • Deliver quality cultural resource compliance for diverse clients.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, historic preservation, or a related field.
  • 0-1 years of relevant post-education experience in the context of Section 106/110 compliance.
  • 0-1 years of experience in CRM archaeology, preferably in the Southeast.
  • Understanding of regulatory framework for cultural resource management compliance.
  • Project delivery track record.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to travel for site investigations and able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
  • Successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, historic preservation, or a related field.
  • Preference will be given to a specialist with clearly defined knowledge, skills and abilities as evidenced through publications/presentations and work experience in the Southeastern United States.
  • Active participation in professional practice organizations.
  • Knowledge of field GPS equipment including ArcGIS FieldMaps.
