The Traveling Exhibitions Manager, Sales will manage business development and client relationships for the Museum�s traveling exhibitions. This includes representing the Field Museum at client meetings and conferences, negotiating contracts, managing a suite of marketing media and outreach, tracking project budgets, assisting with logistics for installation/deinstallation teams, and contributing to the traveling program�s business development strategy. Moderate travel is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee traveling exhibitions and intellectual property deals from client development to contract negotiation; work with Operations on tour logistics and ongoing client support
- Contribute to business development strategy; develop materials and collateral for Traveling Exhibitions marketing, including electronic and digital communications
- Represent the Field Museum alone and as part of a team at conferences and client meetings
- Participate in planning of new traveling exhibitions
- Track project budgets and create sales reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor�s degree required
- 4+ years of experience in business development or marketing required; museum experience and a background in natural science, anthropology, art history, or related field preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written
- Passion for customer service
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate
- Experience working in a creative, multidisciplinary, and fast-paced environment
- Contract negotiation and budget tracking skills
- Familiarity with software like Salesforce, Excel, Keynote, and InDesign; social media; and web-based channels and tools is preferred
- Foreign language fluency a plus
