Trinity University's Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track position in sociocultural anthropology at the rank of assistant professor, starting August 2025. Regional specialization: Latin America, Caribbean, Africa, Central Asia and/or the Middle East. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in environmental anthropology, and those having prior experience with sole-taught courses. The candidate will be expected to be able to teach lower-division courses such as Introduction to Anthropology and Humans and the Environment and develop upper-division courses of their choice in their area of specialization. The Department of Sociology and Anthropology offers courses in cultural anthropology, archeology, and biological anthropology. Its faculty actively participate in interdisciplinary programs, such as Women and Gender Studies, Urban Studies, Environmental Studies, and International Studies.

Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in Anthropology by August 10, 2025.
