Job Summary

This position is responsible for planning and coordinating Heritage Center events and programs; maintaining the Heritage Center databases of museum collections, contacts, memberships, and volunteers; producing marketing and promotional materials; processing all financial data; and the implementation and training of staff in new technologies, applications, and programs.

Please note, this position is responsible for events that will sometimes occur in the evenings or weekends.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute
  • Knowledge and appreciation for PA German folklife, culture and history
  • Experience in coordinating cultural events.
  • Ability to develop, design, and maintain brochures, fliers, and other materials for print and digital promotions
  • Ability to maintain website and social media accounts

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Museum registration and cataloguing
  • Degree in History, Anthropology, or related field.
  • Language proficiency in PA Dutch or German.
  • Proficiency with museum registration and catalog software.
  • Experience in producing photography for promotional materials.
  • Proficiency in a traditional craft.
  • Knowledge of Higher Ed procedures and policies
