Logan Simpson has an immediate opening for a regular full-time Senior Archaeologist / Project Manager to be based out of Tempe or Flagstaff.
Responsibilities Include:
- Planning and managing all phases of cultural resources projects including survey, archaeological monitoring, testing, and data recovery.
- Technical report production.
- Preparing scopes of work and cost estimates.
- Meeting project scope, schedule, and budget obligations.
- Opportunity for occasional fieldwork.
Position Requires:
- Master's degree in Anthropology or a related field.
- 5+ years of cultural resources management (CRM) experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in the Southwest.
- Comfortable interacting and coordinating with clients, as well as government agencies and Tribal representatives, in a decision-making role.
- Knowledgeable about Section 106 review process and other federal historic preservation and cultural resources regulations.
- Demonstrate an established area of analytical expertise and/or archaeological research interest.
- Experience independently preparing, reviewing, and editing complex technical documents for a full range of cultural resources projects.
- Ability to mentor other staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with crew members and supervisors.
- Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently and manage project workload.
- Be able to work cooperatively in a team-oriented setting.
Compensation:
This is a full-time position paid on a salaried basis between $68,640 to $95,680 annually, depending on experience and education.
