Job Summary

The Department of Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position teaching courses in Anthropology, International Studies, and Latin American Studies. The position will begin August 1st, 2024. The selected candidate will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. The preferred candidate will have experience teaching at the introductory and advanced undergraduate level, including large lecture courses, senior capstone seminars, and online courses. Expertise in cultural anthropology, archaeology, international studies, and Latin American studies is required. The successful candidate will also engage in student mentoring in international studies and anthropology and support the archaeology field school.

A Ph.D. in Anthropology is required.
