JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Division of Education, Human Development, and Social Sciences at Penn State Altoona invites applications for part-time instructors in Anthropology to teach entry level courses in cultural anthropology, biological anthropology, and/or archaeology.
Teaching opportunities include:
- ANTH 1 - Understanding Humans
- ANTH 2N - World Archaeology
- ANTH 8 - Aztec, Inca, and Maya
- ANTH 9N - The Rise of Civilization in the Old World
- ANTH 11 - North American Archaeology
- ANTH 21 - Introductory Biological Anthropology
- ANTH 22 - Humans as Primates

Requirements and Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Anthropology or a related field, and/or hold advanced certification/expertise in a related, specialized field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until all vacancies are filled. Part-time teaching is for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
