Overview
As a Field Archaeologist Intern for Civil & Environmental Consultants, you'll work on a variety of projects including deep testing, Phase II testing, Phase III mitigation, and Phase I surveys (pipeline, coal, road, renewable energy). You'll have the opportunity to travel primarily in the Midwest with possibilities of covering the South and Southeast. The duration of the projects will vary from 1-7 days with some projects lasting from 20-30 days. If you enjoy the outdoors, have an inquisitive mind, and aren't afraid to get dirty, then this is the opportunity for you. By the end of the internship, technicians can expect to have a functioning understanding of cultural resource management and the tasks involved. Applicants should expect to travel throughout the Midwest. Housing assistance not provided, therefore local candidates preferred.
