- Sr User Researcher: Masters degree / PHD with 5+ years in User Research (Preferable with HCI, Human Factors education background)

- LG SVL is looking for a User Researcher to support us in discovering new opportunities in various markets. We need an individual that is passionate and curious about the world, discovering how people live, businesses work and how products and software can solve the problems we discover.
- Work closely with UX and PM and use research methodologies to discover, learn and validate needs with in various market opportunities.
- Gain user insights by utilizing methods such as qualitative in-depth interview, stakeholder interviews, diary studies, quantitative surveys, contextual inquiries and usability testing etc.
- Support in working with vendors and 3rd party services to support with recruiting, surveys etc.
- Support in the creation and execution of research studies for concept generation, concept validation and usability as well as leading concept creation workshops and brainstorm when needed.
- Evangelize the importance and effectiveness of user research in all phases of concept creation internally and externally .
- Undergraduate Degree (Master Degree preferred) in HCI, Anthropology, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or other fields emphasizing user needs and behaviors.
- work experience in an applied research setting as a user researcher applying design thinking methodologies.
- Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product development phase.
- Excellent observational, interpersonal, oral and written communication, and collaboration skills.
- Can work independently and prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects.
- Design training, knowledge of design and prototyping tools, ability to storyboard and sketch is an added bonus.
