United States-Tennessee-Chattanooga
- Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Architectural History, or a closely related field
- Requires experience identifying and recording prehistoric resources
- Minimum of three months of field experience (survey, testing, and data recovery)
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures), ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds is required
- Experience required to qualify as a field lead for TN, KY, AL, and MS.
- Good organizational skills, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and execute a new task
- Strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to coordinate effectively with senior staff and other project personnel
- Strong leadership and supervision abilities, including problem-solving, constructive conflict resolution, and decision making
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited archeological field school preferred
- Preferred 3 years of experience with a range of field methodologies; including survey, testing, and excavation
- A master's degree
- A minimum of 1 year of supervising archaeological fieldwork
- Secretary of the Interior Qualified
- RPA member
- Local candidates to Chattanooga TN or Louisville KY area preferred
