Description
The College of Letters, Arts, and Science (LAS) (https://apptrkr.com/get_redirect.php?id=4175604&targetURL=https://las.uccs.edu/) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Anthropology from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester.
The position is responsible for teaching various courses for the Anthropology (https://apptrkr.com/get_redirect.php?id=4175604&targetURL=https://vapa.uccs.edu/index/film) ; however, exact courses taught will depend on need at the time of hire The courses may be in person or online.

Work Location: Typically, on-site; position may be partially remote, based on the semester-to-semester need of the department, as determined by the supervisor.
Remote work will be available for emergency events. This will be offered based on the emergency and allowance will come from leadership and the guidelines provided at the time of the emergency.
This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

What We Offer:
Salary Range: Pay dependent on number of courses taught. Generally $945/per credit hour.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in the field OR significant experience in the field that is outlined in a Letter of Expertise that is submitted to HR in lieu of transcripts. Letter of Expertise are written by the Director of the program which that individual will be lecturing for.
- Willingness to teach either in person and online
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move. Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements and fine motor skills. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
