The Department of Anthropology seeks applications to fill a one-year position of Faculty Lecturer, with teaching responsibilities involving some combination of courses in the anthropology of the environment, anthropology of law, anthropology of religion and/or anthropology of development. An ability to teach in visual anthropology is also considered an asset. The teaching load will be 3 courses per semester (Fall and Winter), for a total of 6 courses taught over one academic year. The precise courses will be determined in consultation with the Chair of Anthropology.

The one-year appointment commences August 1, 2023. Applicants should have a PhD in Anthropology, with a specialization in the anthropology of the environment, anthropology of law, anthropology of religion and/or anthropology of development

The salary is $70,000 annually.
