The Department of Anthropology at California State University - Long Beach is seeking an archaeologist specializing in cultural resource management, with expertise in the legal aspects of cultural and historic preservation in the United States. Research topics are open, but the department seeks an archaeologist working among African-American, Asian-American /Pacific-Islander, Latino/a/x or Native American communities. Candidates should have a demonstrated history or potential for research productivity, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and for involving students in their research. Preferred candidates will be prepared to teach courses such as Cultural Resource Management, Artifact Analysis, Principles of Archaeology, World Prehistory and Introduction to Archaeology. Preferred candidates will also demonstrate a passion for working with colleagues and students from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, gender, disability and academic backgrounds.
