Adjunct Instructor of Anthropology, Academic Year 2022-2023 (POOL Posting)
Job Description:
Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking part-time instructors to teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate level of anthropology in person and/or online. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and changing programmatic needs. When a need arises, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool.
ANTH 1010: Introduction to Cultural Anthropology
ANTH 2010: Introduction to Biological Anthropology
ANTH 2020: Introduction to World Archeology
Positions will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term. The expectation is in-person/face-to-face, hybrid or via technology. This is not a remote position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. (or ABD with Ph.D. dissertation research completed) in Anthropology and an established record of teaching effectiveness. Additional Requirements: Syllabus for the course(s) the applicant wishes to be considered for teaching approval;recent course evaluations (quantitative and qualitative) name and contact information for three references.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching undergraduate courses preferred.
