ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OFSOCIOLOGY & ANTHROPOLOGY

Kalamazoo College invites applications for a tenure trackposition at the assistant professor level in the Anthropology andSociology Department. We invite applications from anthropologists,sociologists, or geographers with expertise in qualitative and/orquantitative research methods. The area of research is open, but aninternational focus is desired. As a blended department, allcourses blur disciplinary boundaries.

A Ph.D. is required in Anthropology, Sociology, Geography,or a related discipline (or evidence it will be completed bySeptember 1, 2023). The position also requires advising seniortheses, contributing to the College's "Shared Passages" corecurriculum (first-year, sophomore, and senior seminars), and acommitment to the liberal arts. Kalamazoo College is committed toinclusive excellence. Kalamazoo College is onthe trimester system, and the teaching load is two courses pertrimester.
