Senior UX Designer

(Remote)

  • Matrix Clinical Labs is a CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited laboratory that provides state-of-the-art diagnostic services and clinical testing support.

Matrix Medical Network IT delivers capabilities using cutting edge technologies to support all these lines of business, including Mobile Tablet, Geo-spatial Analysis, Business Intelligence and Custom Business solutions.

Responsibilities

About the role:

Type: Full Time Salaried

Compensation: $105,000 to $130,000 a year.

Location: Remote or Primary location: 9201 E. Mountain View Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85258.

Travel Requirements: Less than 20%. Some travel for clinician shadowing, workshop facilitation, or leadership meetings expected.

Hours: Full Time Days

This position allows you to channel your passion for and expertise in HCD and UX to propose and implement human center design strategies and program approaches for our members and clinicians leading to a delightful end-user experiences that show measurable outcomes. You are passionate about engaging with patients, clinicians, and our leadership team to propose new and innovative approaches to enhance experiences that impact health outcomes. You are experimental and eager to solicit feedback and iterate on your designs and solutions. You are flexible and collaborative, with the ability to seamlessly partner with key stakeholders and development teams in an agile setting.

Responsibilities:

What We're Looking For
  • Bring HCD and UX best practices to design seamless user experiences that meet business objectives, align with our care delivery vision and end user needs.
  • Have expertise in the art and science of user experience design including the practical application of UX research, the reduction of bias, usability testing, iterative design and deep engagement with voice of the customer (VoC) opportunities.
  • Through research synthesis, frame insights into user journeys, service maps, and other design artifacts to inform future state experiences and guide new opportunity identification.
  • Familiarity and in depth understand of design tools like Figma and Miro
  • Experienced working closely with development teams, using agile methodologies.
  • Breadth of experience along the full spectrum of UI/UX design, from user research to interaction to pattern usage/development and visual design
  • Experience estimating UX project efforts and managing workloads
  • Experience creating research plans, personas, and customer journey maps/experience maps
  • Proficiency in responsive web design and mobile/native platform UI/UX, and an aptitude for learning new technologies and experimental mentality

What you'll do
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of clinical stakeholders, product owners, and development team members on all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Frame experience success targets and methods with impact-based experience metrics
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to create differentiated human-centered experiences that benefit people and the product and the business
  • Employ qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to help stakeholders better understand the needs of their consumers, customers, and employees
  • Facilitate virtual white-boarding, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings
  • Create user flows and low-fidelity wireframes to serve as a proof of concept
  • Brainstorm, evaluate and prioritize future state opportunity recommendations
  • Prototyping both digital and physical experiences and iterating them based on user insight and stakeholder feedback (ranging from low- to high-fidelity with interactions and visual design)
  • Working with engineering teams to translate design into coded solutions
  • Balancing multiple projects at different stages and bringing unique perspectives to each
  • Bringing your own unique perspective to solving challenging problems
  • You will be working closely with product and technology stakeholders, helping them see the 'big picture' - both the end-to-end customer journey as well as the surface-to-core business operations that includes people, process and technology
  • Prepare documentation for planning and execution of all testing activities and maintain library of results

Qualifications

Must Haves:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Psychology, Marketing, Communications, Business, Design or related field/or equivalent work experience
  • At least 7+ years of professional hands-on experience as a contributor to a large-scale enterprise software product offering
  • Outstanding communication, design thought leadership, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills; collaborate across teams and with the larger UX team for pattern consistency.
  • Experience and success in designing for growth and retention
  • Provider experience, home healthcare, patient and member experience highly preferred
  • A track record of effective communication with technical and business leaders at all levels and the ability to manage those relationships effectively
  • Excellent social, communication, facilitation and strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated passion for creating delightful user experiences
  • Motivated by moving quickly and performing many functions
