Community Research Program Coordinator II Purpose: This position will work across lifestyle program research studies targeting cancer survivorship and cancer prevention. The person hired will work closely with the Study Coordinator and Principal Investigator to coordinate the daily administrative and community engagement program activities. Provide support to the team to facilitate the achievement of the program's goals. Primary Functions
  • Recruit study participants to a lifestyle intervention for African American prostate cancer survivors.
  • Disseminate program marketing materials through social media and community organizations for the Men Moving Forward program for African American Prostate cancer survivors and the Total Wellness MKE Rec program targeting cancer prevention in the African American and Hispanic communities in Milwaukee.
  • Work with program leaders to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive databases and files related to lifestyle program research.
  • Collect and enter participant interview and physical assessment data in collaboration with Marquette exercise physiology lab.
  • Maintain program timeline including tracking deadlines and program components.
  • Assist with training of study staff as needed
  • Provide input on program implementation and results dissemination.
  • Participate on appropriate committees relevant to the advancement of the program and the profession.
  • Coordinate and manage program outreach activities including acting as a liaison with community organizations.
Preferred Schedule: Full-time role with expectations for coverage during core business hours and flexibility required as necessary to accommodate business needs. Position Requirements: Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
  • Knowledge of research methods, community engagement techniques, project management, and cultural humility.
  • Attention to details, customer focus, building trust, communication, critical thinking, and influencing skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have existing ties and experience with community facing work.
