Job Description

An Accessibility Reviewer—or Access Reviewer for short—will assist in reviewing and providing feedback as appropriate on the accessibility of submitted Annual Meeting Presentation Materials. Access Reviewers will work remotely under the supervision of the Accessibility & Meetings Manager. They are expected to have basic disability and accessibility culture knowledge, as well as a familiarity with various accessibility review tools on desktop computers, including but not limited to Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office. They should be comfortable reviewing digital documents for inaccessible qualities as determined by both automated and manual checks, with requirements outlined by AAA accessibility standards. Access Reviewers should be familiar with basic Cloud organizing systems, URL uses, and database navigation and are expected to use their own computer for downloading and organizing of digital presentation materials.

Requirements

• Access to a high-speed computer/laptop with reliable internet
• Access to Microsoft Office on Desktop/laptop
• Access to Adobe Acrobat Pro
• PDF remediation accessibility knowledge
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and accessibility tools on Microsoft Office
• Experience with Excel data organization
• Basic familiarity with access needs and disability and accessibility culture standards
• Capacity to review audio and visual files
• Demonstrated adherence to deadlines
• Clear communication skills
• Comfort and success with working in a small team (3-4 people)

Compensation, Time Period, & Location

$20/hr – hours per week will vary on the flow of incoming materials
