Job Title: Senior Global Strategist

Team: Global Strategy, McCann Worldgroup Truth Central

SCOPE & PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Are you insatiably curious about brands and human behavior? McCann Worldgroup Truth Central, the global thought leadership unit of McCann Worldgroup, is looking for a talented, self-starter to join our team and support our mission to become the world's leading expert in cultural intelligence and consumer research.

You will be a critical member of the Truth Central team, helping to produce and support content for a new and developing trends offering. As a part of this you'll be working to uncover consumer insights and help to formulate recommendations for brands. The ideal candidate will be extremely passionate about what drives human behavior, different cultural attitudes as well as a broad range of topics from wellness to tech to memes. You have top notch writing skills and perhaps even some editorial experience.

Ultimately, you will demonstrate and hone the following skillset:
  • Accomplished researcher: Be able to identify of-the-moment and longer lasting trends while also grounding insights in data and real-world examples. Have expertise in qualitative or quantitative methodologies (or both!).
  • Content strategist and storyteller/facilitator: Manage projects and facilitate new ideas for activating our content in the world. Create and deliver presentations and workshops for MW global clients.
  • Truth Central coordinator: Liaise with local teams in over 100 markets to leverage market expertise, gather qualitative research, and build relationships for future research projects.
  • Brand ambassador: Support Truth Central by contributing to social media, newsletter, and other external communication outlets.

    • Has an insatiable appetite for the latest trends in technology and society
    • Is tech savvy and familiar the latest tech platforms (including but not limited to Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, WeChat, etc.)
    • A passion for research and data
    • Has excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Enjoys storytelling and has interesting experiences to share
    • Has a strong work ethic and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


    EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES

    Must Have:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher
    • Experience in marketing strategy, trends or cultural intelligence, marketing communication, journalism, or research
    • Is proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Keynote and PowerPoint


    Preferred:
    • Writing experience
    • Background in psychology, economics, statistics, sociology, or anthropology
    • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign
