Wood's cultural resource program has an opportunity for an experienced Skeletal Biologist
to assist in the anticipated recovery and analysis of human remains. The applicant must be familiar with standard osteological inventory of remains, as well as analytical methods directed at understanding the past health of the individual (dietary deficiencies, pathologies, etc.). Comparative analysis of the interred population (life/mortality tables etc.) as derived from other studies is anticipated . The applicant must have good writing skills to contribute to a technical report of findings. This position is on-call for the duration of the project.
- Qualified candidates should possess a masters or doctorate degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field
- Must have demonstrated experience in analysis and interpretation of human remains
- Prior to employment, applicants are required to take separate drug screening and physical fitness exams that Wood will arrange
Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
