Rotational Insurance Intern (Business, Social Science, Analytics)

WCF Insurance is a Workers Compensation Fund that provides medical and wage benefits to employees who suffer work -related injuries or illnesses. We help businesses operate more efficiently and keep employees safe. WCF has grown exponentially to multiple lines of insurance like property and auto insurance. We have also grown to multiple states and have potential future openings in California, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, and Nevada.

Position

Come join WCF insurance for an educational hands-on approach to learning about helping people and mitigating risk. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), temporary position that works out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters with flexibility depending on the department.

This position is a temporary position for Summer 2022. This is a two-rotation internship. Where the candidate will work in two departments (based on input/preference) : Sales and Distribution, Claims, Underwriting, Marketing Communications, New Product, Finance, Human Resources, and Safety. After the internship, there is a possibility of a part-time position as an apprentice. We offer full benefits starting at 20 hours per week after the internship. Responsibilities

The cohort of ten interns will work with each other and each of our departments to learn insurance from many different angles. There will be weekly, paid training on different insurance terminology and weekly opportunities to share experience with others in your cohort.

Qualifications

The most qualified candidate will have:

• Currently enrolled in a local college studying mathematics, statistics, psychology, sociology, anthropology, finance, marketing, business, or related degrees.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, Excel strongly recommended.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential matters appropriately.
• Superb general written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving skills.
• Experience in customer service preferred.

Pay for this position is $16/hour.
