Join a leading fintech company that's democratizing finance for all.

Robinhood was founded on a simple idea: that our financial markets should be accessible to all. With customers at the heart of our decisions, Robinhood is lowering barriers and providing greater access to financial information. Together, we are building products and services that help create a financial system everyone can participate in.

Just as we focus on our customers, we also strive to create an inclusive environment where our employees can thrive and do impactful work. We are proud of the competitive products and company culture we continue to build and have been recognized as:
  • Glassdoor Best Places to Work 2020
  • Fortune Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance™ 2021 and Fortune Best Workplaces for Millennials™ 2021
We're growing and looking for...
We continue to hire Robinhoodies at a rapid pace to drive this journey, and with that growth comes necessary change. We're seeking culture builders and curious thinkers looking to co-author the next chapters of our story. We're in build mode, majorly expanding our team while also growing up as a company. Joining now means helping shape our structures and systems, then taking part as we launch into our ambitious future.

Research has been central to our product development and business strategy since the very beginning-and our team continues to grow, along with our user base and product. Working in the research team at Robinhood, you'll help us systematically understand how people interact with financial products and how they think and feel about money.

The Staff and Operations Lead, Research will be the driving force behind the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Robinhood's Research strategy. This person will shepherd overall processes by managing workflows, communicating roadblocks, and continuously keeping the pulse on ways to improve the team's operations. They will partner with the Head of Research to develop and implement roadmaps and goals for the Research organization
What you'll do day-to-day:
Very much part of the heartbeat of the Research team, this role will support the Research team in standardizing our capacity planning (resource allocation, utilization, and program sizing), workflow management, and tracking systems.

In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Research, to better understand what researchers need to be successful, define guidelines that complement our overall standards, while building in enough flexibility to allow our functions to operate at their best. This role reports into the Head of Research but dotted lines into Operations.

This Staff and Operations Lead will work closely with senior research managers to drive alignment across research subteam roadmaps and priorities. In addition to embedded team operations, this role will drive the strategy and execution of high-impact, high-visibility internal research communications across Robinhood.

You have a passion for building robust processes, alignment and impactful communication across complex organizations. You are a creative problem solver, versed in operational aspects of cross-functional product teams and/or program management in an agency/communication space.

You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover new ways of doing things, and work collaboratively with stakeholders. You understand when to raise concerns and know how best to communicate this upward and outward to ensure that work is done impactfully, appropriately and ethically. You thrive in ambiguity and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.
About you:
  • 8+ years experience at a top-tier management consulting firm and/or experience in a Business Operations & Strategy, Product Operations & Strategy, Chief of Staff or a cross-functional operational role at a technology company
  • Program Management: Support complex programs, align scope with cross functional partners and present results to team members
  • Navigating Ambiguity: Distill complex business problems into their core elements and prioritize work that helps Robinhood Research improve and grow.
  • Bachelor's degree and a record of academic achievement
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Exceptional written and communication skills
  • Resourcefulness, persistence, and ability to thrive in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to work independently and a strong sense of ownership

  • Masters, MBA, or PhD in Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Behavioral Economics, or similar
  • Knowledge of product research
  • Lean six-sigma or similar certifications
  • Experience working in finance, tech, or high-growth startups
  • Passion for working and learning in a fast-growing company
