The Program in Science, Technology, and Society (STS) at Brown University invites applications for a three-year (renewable), non-tenure track, full-time Lecturer position in STS with a focus on race and racism in science, medicine, and/or technology. Position requires teaching five classes per academic year (typically two lecture courses and three seminars). One course may be replaced by significant service, such as serving as the Director of Undergraduate Studies. One course will be one of the core required STS courses (Introduction to STS or the STS Senior Seminar), and the other classes may be drawn from the candidate’s area of research. We are eager to hear from candidates with a wide range of interests and expertise related to race and STS.
