Statistical Research, Inc. (SRI), a cultural resources management (CRM) consulting firm, provides comprehensive CRM services to private and government clients at the federal, state, and local levels throughout the western United States from offices in New Mexico, Arizona, California, and Washington. SRI has several projects in New Mexico that are being directed out of our Albuquerque, New Mexico, office, and we are looking for a new colleague.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidates should possess, at minimum, a Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field; have completed an accredited archaeological field school; and be eligible for the Register of Professional Archaeologists. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of field experience working on and/or supervising monitoring, survey, testing, and data recovery projects and be physically fit and able to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions. Candidates must also be eligible to be permitted by the state of New Mexico and by the Bureau of Land Management in New Mexico for the Northwest and Southeast Permit Areas. Candidates should also have good organizational skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and execute new tasks.

Compensation Package:

SRI offers a compensation package that includes competitive pay; professional development; a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, and a retirement plan; and paid vacation/sick and holiday leave. The hourly rate or salary for this position will be commensurate with the applicant's credentials and experience and industry standards. Food allowance, travel time, and lodging provisions will be contract/project specific.

Job Description:

The Project Director (PD) is responsible for preparing and implementing survey, testing, monitoring, and the data recovery plans and for coordinating through the appropriate channels all field and analytical tasks associated with fieldwork, analysis, and report preparation, including report writing. For small- and medium-sized projects, the PD may also take on many of the tasks typically assigned to a Principal Investigator (PI), though he or she is still ultimately responsible to the PI for the given project. For larger projects, the PD works with the PI and the Project Manager to ensure that all tasks associated with the project implementation are accomplished professionally and in a timely and fiscally responsible manner. For all projects in which he or she participates, the PD is responsible for meeting his or her deadlines, remaining on budget, and for meeting SRI's standard of care.

How To apply
