Minimum Qualifications:
* A master's degree in archaeology or anthropology.
* Experience working with federal, state, and/or local historic preservation laws and regulations.
* Experience conducting archaeological fieldwork within the state of Florida.
* Knowledge of 1A-46, Florida Administrative Code.
* Experience writing and/or reviewing archaeological survey reports in accordance with state and federal requirements.
* Knowledge of the National Register of Historic Places criteria for evaluating historic properties.
* Experience with Geographic Information Systems and ArcView software or similar programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Review cultural resources identification and evaluation survey reports involving prehistoric and historic archaeological resources, as well as resources representing Florida's architectural and engineering resources in accordance with federal, state or local preservation laws and their implementing regulations and prepare appropriate review response correspondence.
Provides routine technical assistance and information regarding the Compliance and Review program to federal, state, and local agencies, private consultants and the general public particularly as it relates to the survey review process.
Participates in consultation meetings with representatives of projects to discuss appropriate survey requirements, requests for additional information, and the overall Compliance and Review program and processes.
Maintains project files in an orderly manner and completes the Compliance and Review database (project log) files in a timely manner.
Performs other work related duties as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Knowledge of archaeological and historical survey methodology, knowledge and experience with archaeological and historical report standards and regulations.
* Knowledge and experience working with historic preservation compliance and review laws and procedures.
* Knowledge and experience working with cultural resource compliance review laws and regulatory procedures.
* Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems & ArcView software or other similar programs.
* Skill in writing or reviewing archaeological and historical survey reports.
