The Division of Arts and Humanities at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for an open rank, multi and interdisciplinary, full-time tenure/tenure-track faculty position. We seek a scholar and educator focused on the Middle East, NorthAfrica, or Indian Ocean world whose work and research reflect an interdisciplinary approach.  The successful candidate must have a strong record of publication suitable for tenure at New York University.  Commitment to teaching excellence and  supervision of BA, MA and PhD students are expected. Applicants should also possess administrative experience including developing undergraduate and graduate programs.

Qualifications
This position requires a PhD in either or a combination of the following fields: Cultural Theory, Anthropology and Ethnography, Migration and Human Geographies. Fluency in Arabic and other languages is strongly desired.
