This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Architectural Historian for our Worcester, MA office. The following locations will also be considered: Sacramento, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Tempe, AZ; Chicago, IL; Richmond, VA; Philadelphia, PA; Atlanta, GA . Your Impact
- Staff management and mentorship, including architectural historians
- Prepare scopes of work and cost proposals.
- Project management, including keeping projects on schedule and budget.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, historic preservation, or a related field.
- 10+ years experience working in cultural resources management.
- Experience working on CR projects across the nation, including on transportation and DOD related projects.
- Expertise and experience with State and Federal protection regulations, preservation guidelines, and consulting processes including Section 106, Section 110, Section 4(f), assessments of effect, and Determinations of Eligibility.
- Experience preparing mitigation documents including HABS/HAER/HALS documentation.
- Experience in performing architectural survey and preparing National Register nominations.
- Experience working with NEPA documents.
- Established experience coordinating with clients, regulatory permitting and resource agencies, communities, and cultural resources technical staff required.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
- Evidence of scholarly publication a plus.
