The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is offering a Virtual Spring Internship to a qualified candidate who will support Evaluation and Analysis team. This paid internship is a part-time, temporary employment opportunity averaging 20 hours per week for a postgraduate and/or undergraduate student. PCORI does not provide housing for out of town residents. All applicants must be eligible to work in the US and located in the US. Pay Range and Employment Status: Interns shall be classified as temporary employees who are hired as interim replacements, to temporarily supplement the workforce, or to assist in the completion of a specific project and who are temporarily scheduled to work for a limited duration. Employment beyond any initially stated period does not in any way imply a change in employment status. Temporary workers are not eligible for PCORI benefits. Current master's level and above students will be paid $20.00 per hour. Bachelor's level students will be paid $15.00 per hour. The Evaluation and Analysis department is seeking an intern for the spring 2022 semester who will have the opportunity to: * Participate in a project that evaluates PCORI's research funding application process to inform process improvement * Gain exposure to multiple aspects of internal evaluation activities at a research funding organization * Gain experience with survey data analysis, communication of survey results, development of key survey documentation and guidance * Build skills in qualitative analysis, integration and presentation of quantitative and qualitative survey results, information gathering and synthesis, and effective organization of complex information Required Skills The Evaluation and Analysis team is seeking an intern that will meet the following requirements: * Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word * Background in research methods and/or evaluation * Ability to understand and interpret descriptive analysis results and charts/graphs * Experience with qualitative analysis preferred * Strong data visualization skills * Ability to gather information from multiple sources and synthesize into concise and clean written documents Required Experience Ideal candidates must have completed their bachelors and preferably be enrolled in a masters level program in one of the following areas: Health, Science or Research-related field with background/ coursework in evaluation, health services research, sociology, public health, public policy, social anthropology, psychology, or education.
