We're looking for a strong User Researcher who enjoys close collaboration with Product, Design, Analytics, and Marketing to craft ground-breaking product solutions in the payments space. We seek a researcher who is well-versed in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. You enjoy digging into complicated problems, synthesizing data, and delivering actionable insights.

What you'll do:
  • Conduct, coordinate, and support research studies in the field and on-site
  • Transform stakeholder questions into actionable research plans
  • Collaborates closely with our data scientists and analysts
  • Work cross-functionally with our design, project management, and marketing teams and report to Director of Design & Research
  • Drives research efforts at multiple stages of product development process
  • Develop and drive a research approach, schedule, and detailed plan for each project
  • Design and conduct user research to evaluate new and current products, using both quantitative studies (generative, interviews, etc.) and qualitative studies (usability, surveys, etc.)
  • Synthesize and communicate research findings to inform business and design decisions
  • Advocate for data-driven, user-centric experiences that delight users
  • Inspire and nurture the team's collective research skills, advocate for best practices, and adapt to new productivity tools

What we're looking for:
  • 3-5 years experience in user experience research, behavioral or cognitive research, or market research
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Marketing, Sociology, Anthropology, or related fields
  • Ability to plan experiments, manage suppliers, coordinate interviews, create estimates, create project milestones/deadlines and budget strategically
  • Experience with classic user research methods, including both generative and evaluative (A/B testing experimental designs, concept testing, surveys, ethnographic field research, in-depth interviews, lab and remote usability testing, heuristic evaluations etc.) and skilled at selecting the right tool for the job
  • Can manage project prioritization and stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to distill complex information and concepts into key takeaways, sticky insights, and actionable presentations that can inspire colleagues
  • Demonstrates a history of conducting applied research with a product team and shipping products that have been shaped by your insights
  • Experience with survey tools (i.e. surveymonkey, qualtrics, etc.) and some usability tools (i.e. usertesting, dsout, etc.)

Nice to have:
  • Experience with working with Analytics teams and tools (i.e. R and RPSS)
  • Marketing or creative agency research experience
  • Master's degree in related field
