A Summer Internship with Purpose: WW's 11-week, paid summer internship program provides opportunities for learning and personal development, networking and engagement with WW leadership teams. As a WW intern, your work contributes to the company's overall success, impacting the lives of millions. My Impact as a WW Experience Research Intern: The WW Product Design team is looking for an Experience Research intern who will advance our understanding of what people need and why throughout their health and wellness journey. As a member of the Omnichannel Experience Insights team, you will leverage various research methods to provide actionable insights to designers and product managers to inform the evolution of our members' app experience. Along the way, you will be working closely with other experienced researchers and cross-functional team members who will assist you. Success means that we are advocating for members' needs and influencing decisions that impact the delivery of engaging and empowering experiences to our members, ensuring we're delivering happiness to customers, partners, and teammates. Key product areas being supported include Growth & E-comerce, Digital 360, & Program. Specific responsibilities include- * Contribute to research projects by preparing study guides and conducting sessions * Learn about the needs and pains of people within the WW community (members, prospective members, coaches, etc.), pairing the appropriate research method to the project needs. Research methods used could include in-depth interviews, concept tests, usability tests, diary studies, digital ethnography, surveys, or a new method you invent * Learn how to translate research findings into usable and actionable insights that inspire changes to the user experience * Identify opportunities to integrate quantitative data into qualitative research findings, when possible * Collaborate with smart, passionate experienced researchers, designers and product managers in various offices around the world (NYC, San Francisco, and more!) * Work with senior researchers as they collaborate with product managers and designers to understand the business requirements and learning objectives related to research requests * Deliver engaging presentations that communicate research insights to stakeholders (e.g., product managers, designers, engineers, and executives) and advocate for users' needs Educational Requirements & Desired Skills: * Graduation date between December 2022 and May 2023 * Pursuing an undergraduate degree in psychology, cognitive science, human-computer interaction, design, sociology, anthropology, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher; may be participating in a non-traditional job training program that focuses on research, design or tech/engineering * Prior experience, training, and/or course work in user research, user experience design, design thinking or similar field * Adaptability and a willingness to try new things (i.e., a growth mindset) * Critical thinking and problem solving Check out our latest Tech Blog post to learn about our 2021 Virtual Summer Internship Program At WW, it is our priority to cultivate a diverse and inclusive workplace.
