The Research Assistant will work closely with the Research Manager and Project Director/PI and will assist in a variety of research activities related to several funded research projects on patient-reported outcomes. The Research Assistant will assist with drafting documents, attending project meetings, review relevant literature, and contribute to reports, manuscripts, and presentations. They will work as part of a team with several stakeholders and maintain an open communication with members of MGH, Phoenix Society, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in addition to local and national clinicians and researchers. The position will offer opportunities for developing skills in research and metrics related to disability, burn injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions that will lead to publications. In addition, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and post treatment lyme disease will be the foci of other research projects. This position will begin immediately.
Essential Functions:
1. drafting documents, attending project meetings, review relevant literature, and contribute to reports, manuscripts, and presentations. (50%)
2. work as part of a team with several stakeholders and maintain an open communication with members of MGH, Phoenix Society, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in addition to local and national clinicians and researchers (30%)

Required Skills
Required Skills Clinical/Research experience is strongly preferred. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, EndNote, and scientific writing preferred. Applicants must be highly motivated and organized. Candidates with an MPH, MSW or MS degree in medical anthropology with 1-2 years of research experience are encouraged to apply.
