We seek to hire an emerging scholar in the field of Medical Anthropology. We seek a colleague whose work would complement existing departmental strengths and interdisciplinary practices. Geographic area is open.

The successful applicant will join a Department with a thorough commitment to community engaged research, addressing the lived realities of health inequities in the contemporary world. We are actively seeking to recruit from a diverse pool of applicants. We strongly encourage applications from Indigenous scholars and from minority groups underrepresented in post-secondary institutions in North America.

Candidates must be able to teach general courses in cultural anthropology along with courses in their area of expertise and contribute to both undergraduate and graduate teaching. They must have a demonstrated capacity for teaching and the development of a substantial research program. Candidates will be expected to do research in their area of expertise and provide service to the university. While a Ph.D. in Anthropology is preferred, applicants who will have successfully defended the Ph.D. dissertation by the position start date will be considered.
