Job Description Summary
As a User Experience Researcher (UXR), you'll help your UX team, product managers, and engineers understand user needs. You'll play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and delightful products. You'll work with stakeholders across functions and levels and have impact at all stages of product development. You'll explore user behaviors and motivations by conducting primary research such as field studies, interviews, participatory workshops, surveys, and usability testing.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Lead and recommend both short-and long-term research activities, contributing to the creation of a research plan.
Collect and analyze user behavior (qualitative & quantitative) through usability testing, field visits and surveys.
Create and communicate research artifacts, findings, reports and recommendations with stakeholders by meaningful, impactful deliverables (e.g. research reports).
Advocate for user research and help champion buy in from stakeholders and businesses
Participate in planning of research topics and usability tests and contributes to the analysis and synthesis of research findings
Contribute to management of usage analytics and Voice of the Customer solutions, mining usage data, and communicating findings to stakeholders
Identify, and mitigate, project risks.
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field or equivalent experience with practical UX experience.

Demonstrated strong understanding of Agile / Lean UX methodologies
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and product teams (interaction, UX research, engineering, content strategy).
Advanced skills in problem-solving and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for multiple business applications.
Understands key principles of design thinking, what it is and why it is important.
Ability to clearly communicate with a variety of stakeholders; ability to facilitate group discussions and meetings effectively.
Ability to adapt to new environments and pivot quickly when needed.
Demonstrated curiosity and a deep passion for learning.
Demonstrated active listening skills; ability to identify when additional information is needed from customer/manager and asks cogent and relevant questions to obtain it.
Portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions.
Business Acumen:
Understanding of key cross-functional concepts that impact the organization.
Keeps current on industry landscape; ability to map industry trends to internal vision.
Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholder groups.
Leadership:
Defines objectives, problems, and questions and gathers appropriate inputs before generating and evaluating solutions and answers.
Ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process.
Self-motivated, able to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships
