Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Design Researcher. This position is 100% remote and is open to candidates residing in Alaska, Washington, Montana, Oregon, California or Texas.

We are seeking a Senior Design Researcher will be part of an interdisciplinary team to transform customer signals into actionable insights, co-design transformative experiences, and define the path ahead for all things patient financial experience. You will bring your experience to our human-centered design process and help create a deeper understanding of our patients within our organization. In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
- Perform user/customer research in partnership with our Voice of the Patient team to identify emerging opportunity spaces and pain points
- Scope, plan, design and conduct generative and evaluative research studies
- Communicate, promote and demonstrate a human-centered design process
- Identify and recruit participants for studies including building best practices
- Design and support engaging workshops?with stakeholders especially around ideation
- Manage project timeline through the research phase and coordinate team responsibilities
- Document, synthesize, and communicate findings including leveraging frameworks and visualizations to articulate learnings and insights
- Be involved in all aspects of the design process, including research and analysis, concept development, and launching solutions in-market
- Create and curate repository for research findings that can be shared with key stakeholders
- Facilitate stakeholder co-creation/ideation sessions with clear outcomes
- Help develop, refine, and demonstrate best practices to build out research ops.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology, Social Sciences, Design/ Design Research, Human Factors, or related discipline.
- 5 years experience working as part of multidisciplinary teams bring new concepts to market
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's Degree in Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology, Social Sciences, Design/ Design Research, Human Factors, or related discipline.
