The Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University promotes human health and well-being globally through excellence and leadership in research, education and public engagement in nutritional sciences. We are among the largest academic units in the U.S. devoted to human nutrition and our distinguished multi‐disciplinary faculty are members of the College of Human Ecology and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Research expenditures exceed $14M per year including support from NIH, NSF and the USDA. The Division of Nutritional Sciences is the only nutrition-focused PAHO/WHO collaborating center in the U.S. and an Affiliate Center in the Cochrane U.S. Network. Our faculty are continually engaged with key national and international guideline committees and organizations.

 

All positions are for 9-month, full-salaried, tenure-track faculty members. Commensurate with rank, candidates are expected to be leaders in their disciplines and have demonstrated research excellence including an active, externally funded research program and a substantial record of publication in recognized peer-reviewed journals. Candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level and our open positions include leadership opportunities.

Molecular Nutrition (Associate/Full Professor)

We seek experienced candidates who are outstanding research scientists with demonstrated research excellence in molecular nutrition. Candidates may have disciplinary expertise at the intersection of nutrition and molecular biology, genetics, genomics, biochemistry, metabolism, physiology, immunology, or a related field. Nutrition and Global Heath (Assistant and Associate/Full Professor)

We invite applications for a cluster hire comprised of 2 positions: this cluster links to initiatives

in the Division including external partnerships with the World Health Organization, Cochrane, and others. Candidates may have disciplinary expertise in nutrition, epidemiology, data science, medicine, or a related field. Individuals working at the intersection of related fields such as those leveraging the use of big data, bioinformatics, and advances in artificial intelligence to address challenges in nutrition and global health are also encouraged to apply. Nutrition and Health Equity (Associate/Full Professor)

This position is the third position in a cluster hire in DNS that focuses on Nutrition, Health Equity and Social Justice. In light of the key role of social and structural determinants in shaping the health and nutritional well-being of individuals, families, and communities, we seek experienced candidates with demonstrated research excellence in nutrition and health equity in the U.S. and/or globally.
