Position description
A Research Associate position is available in the Kern Center [https://www.mayo.edu/research/centers-programs/robert-d-patricia-e-kern-center-science-health-care-delivery/about] with Dr. Jennifer L. Ridgeway [https://www.mayo.edu/research/faculty/ridgeway-jennifer-l-ph-d/bio-20442611].The Research Associate will provide key expertise in qualitative and mixed methods, including approaches for engaging clinicians, patients, and community members in research.
Qualified candidates will have professional experience in the following areas:
* Health services research
* Patient outcomes research
* Implementation science or practice-based research
This position is anticipated to participate in the expansion of the Dissemination & Implementation Science program's capacity to increase its work in practice priority areas. The preferred candidate's research background should include practice-based research that engages care team and patients; mixed method study designs such as hybrid implementation-effectiveness trials and rapid approaches to evaluation; and research on barriers and/or facilitators to disseminate and implement evidence-based practices across the care continuum. The Research Associate will also engage in training opportunities supported by the program and to share that knowledge with others. Candidates should have experience with a variety of implementation theories, models, and frameworks, or those commonly used in behavioral, communication, organizational sciences, or related fields. Candidates should also have experience with a variety of evaluative and data analysis methods, including the use of qualitative methods.
Seeking a Ph.D. with training in health services research, evaluation, anthropology, behavioral science, behavioral economics, communication, decision sciences, psychology, organization behavior, sociology, or other related fields and a focus on dissemination and implementation science.
A Research Associate at Mayo Clinic is a temporary transitional role with the primary purpose to allow qualified individuals to work within an established investigator's program in preparation for an academic and/or independent research career. The ability to perform specialized or complex functions would typically be demonstrated through review of scientific accomplishments, contributions, and peer-reviewed publications averaging at least one per year post doctoral degree. The Research Associate is expected to provide leadership support and training within an established research program.

* Proof of doctoral degree (copy of diploma or final transcript with English translation, if applicable) or a letter from your university's Registrar office indicating you have fulfilled all doctoral program requirements and are eligible to graduate.
Please also be prepared that you may be asked to provide three letters of recommendation to the hiring PI prior to an interview.
Qualifications
Must have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Requires at least three years of postdoctoral research experience at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere with evidence of publications and other scientific accomplishments.
