  • You collaborate closely with designers, product managers, engineering, and marketing teams to identify research topics that will drive short- and long-term product development
  • You leverage and develop research practices, and processes to empower product, design, marketing, and engineering teams to engage with users directly
  • You comfortably lead research initiatives to address both user behavior and attitudes towards new and current initiatives
  • You comprehensively plan and execute a research agenda using a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • You analyze and synthesize research findings into actionable insights that both fuel ideation and deeper empathy with our users
  • You communicate research findings and illustrate insights in compelling and creative ways to project stakeholders

  • You want to participate in project planning, design review, and architectural meetings
  • You always look for ways to increase your knowledge and find things to be passionate about

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in applied product research and design
  • Knowledge of quantitative, statistical concepts and behavioral analysis
  • Ability to formulate, ask - as well as answer - meaningful and impactful questions
  • Ability to design and conduct quantitative research, such as surveying (questionnaire design, sampling, analysis)

  • Ability to break down complex analysis into concise results and actionable insights for a lay audience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What's really required:
  • MA/MS in Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Experimental or Cognitive Science, Anthropology, or equivalent experience in a related field

  • Experience conducting international/cross-cultural research
  • Familiarity with qualitative methods and secondary research methods
  • Genuine interest in a job done well
  • Being a completionist; a job isn't done till it's done right.

Our Culture
  • We are seeking passionate, smart people who love technology and want to be a part of something bigger. Our projects range from crafting small to large-scale applications (i.e. eLearning applications used by hundreds of thousands of concurrent daily users) to designing and developing an entirely new way of composing and distributing digital music. We are not seeking someone who only considers themselves a "designer". Are you someone who is able to see the potential of a project and is excited at the chance to turn that idea into a reality?
  • The ideal fit will be self-motivated and capable of both independence and collaboration (via Scrum or similar Agile methodologies). You are able to accurately estimate the amount of work required to achieve a goal. You are constantly looking for opportunities to improve your skillset and enjoy finding ways to make processes (both software and human) more efficient.
