Position Summary
Assists with IFP (Summer Interdisciplinary Field Program) in a variety of capacities. Tasks may include:
Driving Van
Setting up camp sites
Washing dished at camp sites
Assisting instructors
Leading hiking groups
Leading laboratory exercises
Procuring food and supplies
Assisting with meal preparation
Keeping track of receipts and completing spreadsheets
Grading papers
Assisting to provide first aid to program participants
Supervising student chores
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
Former student of the IFP program who have attended the program and taken the classes.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Knowledge in Geology, Anthropology and Ecology work.
Physical Demands
Be able to sit for long hours (the program travels 10K miles across the country) and be able to drive large vans with students for many hours. Be able to hike strenuous hikes (up Mount St. Helen, etc). Be able to set up camp, cook food on campfire and camp outside for two months.
