Position Summary

We are seeking a Full Time Cultural Marketing Coordinator. This position requires a strong understanding of values, attitudes, drivers, and behaviors across key segments of the U.S. population (African American, Latinx, AAPI, LGBTQ, etc.) A Marketing Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with the Marketing, Insights, and Strategy teams in projects and activities to ensure flawless execution of key deliverables. The Marketing Coordinator will support the company's growth initiatives and that of its clients. This position requires a strong foundation in marketing and strong writing and communication skills.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Assist Marketing team on day-to-day responsibilities. Includes, among others to:
  • Learn customer markets and products quickly
  • Maintain project timelines
  • Coordinate and support meetings
  • Monitor budgets by analyzing actual results against plans and forecasts
  • Support the development of marketing plans
  • Support database/data mining activities, generate charts and help build presentations
  • Support needed research (online, store visits or conferences, market immersions and customer service/experience audits) to support strategic marketing initiatives
  • Organize and maintain marketing files on company server: label and archive data including proposal development files, client marketing program files, branding guidelines, presentations, etc.
  • Serve as Account coordinator for deliverables and timing. Manage day-to-day client communications, securing quality client service while maintaining account profitability
  • Coordinate relationships with vendors (i.e., market data, research, etc.) and brief them on strategic objectives. Secure deliverables according to set milestones
  • Create/deliver PowerPoint presentations for clients internal and external
  • Support the team in creating briefs, answering RFPs and preparing pitches
  • Support quantitative and qualitative research efforts
  • Gather industry insights and statistics from a variety of sources; research and track various secondary sources to determine trends and insights.
  • Research companies and their products (i.e., market share, market conditions & trends, pricing, and advertising)
  • Build and maintain a research database
  • Analyze, summarize and report findings
  • Support ongoing marketing projects online as needed. Includes but not limited to:

-Email blasts, blogs, entries and other electronic social media

-Company website

-Analytic Reporting and ROI analysis

-SEO
  • Assist in Developing 6P business plans: People (target), Positioning, Product, Price, Place, Promotions


Qualifications & Skills
  • BA or BS preferably in Marketing, Sociology, Anthropology or related fields
  • 1+ years of professional experience with background in consumer marketing, experience in multiple business lines/categories preferred
  • Strong understanding of values, attitudes, drivers, and behaviors across diverse segments of the U.S. population (African American, Latinx, AAPI, LGBTQ, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; to be resourceful, proactive and self-motivated
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for interacting with internal and external company contacts
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask; to work under tight deadlines with sense of urgency
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commandment to follow through
  • Ability to learn new skills and systems quickly; must see "the big picture" and how a particular task supports a greater objective
  • Customer service, marketing or sales experience a plus
  • Aptitude with Digital/Social Media
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Expert in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite
  • Ability to take initiative, to sell his/her ideas, to work well autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: verbal/written communications and presentation skills
