Project will last for approximately 2 weeks, lodging and per diem included
Duties will include archaeological survey and shovel testing as needed. Position requires in-field artifact and feature identification, preparation of detailed field notes and archaeological site records, and use of ESRI data collection applications (Collector and Survey123) on tablets paired with Trimble R1 receivers.
Candidates must be able and willing to work outdoors in remote locations and for extended periods under all weather conditions, often traversing rugged terrain. Must demonstrate awareness for workplace safety; and be willing to work independently when conditions are appropriate or with limited supervision.
Pay is commensurate with experience.
-B.A./B.S. Degree or higher in Anthropology with an emphasis in Archaeology
-Experience in northern New Mexico
-Familiarity with artifact assemblages from northern New Mexico
-Experience with digital data collection methods, including ESRI data collection applications (Collector and Survey123) on tablets paired with Trimble R1 receivers
-At least 2 years of field experience in archaeological survey
