HireRight is looking for a UX Writer to simplify and creatively craft copy across our Candidate and Customer experiences. Using an authentic, human voice, you will help shape and improve our candidate and customer digital experiences by guiding our users towards successfully completing their tasks at hand. Clear, helpful language that ensures that our experiences are accessible and inclusive, deeply matters. Your expertise will contribute to innovating the verification and drug and health screening process for our customers. We help the top brands from around the world, hire and retain the best talent. Responsibilities

Craft clear, concise human-centric language that helps users do the things they need to do to be successful.

Work closely with Product Designers, UX Researchers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, QA, Account Managers, Sales Executives, Customer Service, etc., so that together, we can bring brilliantly useful product experiences to life.

Create actionable and thoughtful copy across our app experiences; our core body of copy, our emails and SMS notifications, chatbots, labels, buttons, onboarding wizard, error handling and more.

Contribute to the HireRight Design System to ensure content design patterns are updated and new design patterns fit into the overall landscape of the system.

Bring inspiring and creative ideas into an energetic and collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Be relentlessly obsessed with quality, usability and accessibility.

Coordinate writing strategy with outside agencies when applicable.

Provide mentorship for more junior UX writers.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of experience working in startups, progressive B2B or consumer-based companies

Expert proficiency in designing and wordsmithing meaningful copy that is appropriate for specific experiences.

A clear understanding of user experience, usability, user-centered design, accessibility, and web standards.

Proven experience providing copy for ancillary product touchpoints such as email, text and chat-based interactions.

Successful management of stakeholders.

Experience working in Figma, Miro, Jira, Confluence, Office, etc.

A portfolio of copy that articulates your processes and how your writing has impacted users' needs and ultimately the success of the companies you've previously worked for.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Bachelor's, or an advanced degree in tech-related field, journalism, communications, psychology, anthropology, English, design or equivalent practical experience.
