Marketing Services (Global Marketing Insights & Analytics) - MarketResearch Manager

Essential Functions

If you do and you like to collaborate with similar minded people, the Global Insights & Analytics team at Visa has an exciting opportunity for you to use your skills and market research expertise to develop solutions that will provide Visa and our clients with access to best in-class research expertise and capabilities.

The Market Research Manager role will be within the Visa's Global Insights & Analytics team and will support the establishment of the Global Marketing Insights & Analytics pillar within Marketing Services Delivery. Marketing Services Delivery provides deep marketing expertise across a range of disciplines to provide solutions to our clients' business challenges.

The position will report to: Senior Director - Marketing Insights Services. In the role for: Marketi Research Manager, you will:
  • Support the ideation, development and execution of solutions that provide Visa and our clients with access to best in-class research expertise and capabilities, and that support business goals for both Visa and our clients.
  • Contribute to the development and management of a framework that measures the impact of client engagements as well as help build support internally and help sell-in more client engagement.
  • Support relationships with business partners across the organization and regions, as well as with Visa's clients. This position fills a key role in our expanded focus on developing client marketing insights solutions that are offered through regional Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) teams.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and leverage robust proprietary and third-party analytics and research to identify market entry opportunities, growth areas and consumer intentions, behaviors and barriers for Visa and clients.
  • You will support partnerships with other marketing service lines (e.g. strategy, creative services, marketing execution, sponsorship and partnerships) and research agency partners to create and deliver end-to-end solutions that address clients' marketing needs, drive business outcomes, and that ultimately result in increased Marketing Services revenues.
  • You will manage research agency partners during research solutions' development, including routing materials for review and securing stakeholder approvals
  • You will provide project management support for client research projects, including running status calls, drafting agendas and call notes, routing materials for necessary approvals.
  • You will design and manage client research projects with the research agency as needed
  • You will work cross-functionally to maintain clear communications and secure internal stakeholder alignment
  • You will take the lead on the development and routing of legal agreements, purchase order creation and management, project timeline and budget management, program tracking and results management

Additionally, you have a consistent track record in working collaboratively with internal team members and external clients, must be detail oriented and thoughtful when preparing materials for clients and partners, and should be qualified to communicate directly with clients and senior leadership.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 4 years of business experience and the majority of your work is related to market research/ insights and project management


Preferred Qualifications
  • You have 5-7 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 4 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA) - primarily in insights and analytical functions, with experience conducting analysis of primary market research data and data-driven analysis for brands and businesses, and/or innovation and customer experience areas from the tech, consulting, CPG, retail, agencies, financial or payments industries.
  • Preference for degree in marketing, market research, psychology, sociology, anthropology, and/or in a quantitative field like Economics/Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research.
  • You have foundational understanding of branding, advertising (traditional and digital), marketing concepts, product development and strategy a plus;
  • Background in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending a plus
  • Experience working with, or at external research agencies
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills
  • You have prior experience coordinating cross functional, end-to-end projects that included a high level of detail
  • You are a team player able to work on multi-part projects across teams and able to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met
  • Ability and initiative to self-manage when necessary and ability to multitask to support multiple efforts as needed
  • Experience running meetings with internal and external customers and users
  • Positive relationship management skills and ability to influence decision makers both internally and externally
  • You are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Client-facing experience a plus

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
