Job Description:

Our client is looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer/Researcher to join the product team and help to enhance and build out our Identity portfolio of web and mobile products. You'll work cross-functionally to conceptualize and deliver a great user experience, taking diverging ideas and turning them into world class products. The UX Designer should follow a user-centered design process and understand real users - their goals, aptitudes, experiences, needs, and motivations. In this role the User Experience Designer will approach design by balancing our members' needs with business goals and technical capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Support a lean UX Design team and product managers to design and deliver compelling, elegant, and sophisticated end-to-end user experiences for multiple products and platforms
  • Work collaboratively in assessing and defining customer needs from delivering concepts, presenting and evaluating prototypes, to validating user experience feedback
  • Develop innovative visual designs, screen layouts, navigation systems, interaction models, visual prototypes, user interface elements, typography and color palettes
  • Identify and articulate user needs, build prototypes to test internally and through user research, and refine solutions in the face of data and other findings
  • Contribute to defining the ‘what' as well as the ‘how' - not just translating requirements into designs but also offering possible additional interaction solutions
  • Be an evangelist for UX and UI best practices and design excellence
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging design principles and best practices in visual design, user interface design, interaction design, information architecture, usability theory, and evaluation techniques
  • Collaborate with other designers to maintain design consistency and coherence across the products and platforms
  • Give and receive design feedback with fellow teammates

Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of user experience design experience
  • Experience designing both web & native mobile applications (iOS, Android) is a plus

  • Expert knowledge in graphic and visual design principles, with a strong emphasis on UI and UX
  • A passion for design and continual improvement
  • Experience creating UI specs & wireframes with the flexibility and willingness to move from idea, to whiteboard, to execution quickly
  • Openness to receive feedback and have your opinions be challenged
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills - you can tell compelling stories about your designs and present your work with confidence, regardless of the audience (engineers, PMs, executives, other designers, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize projects, communicate progress, and deliver on time
  • Ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving and constantly evolving high growth environment
