We are seeking an Archaeological Field Technician for assignment in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The selected candidates will primarily conduct archaeological surveys.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:30pm
** This is a 2 week temporary position slated for late October **
** This position has a pay rate of $20 - $24/hr **
- Archaeological survey and shovel testing as needed
- In-field artifact and feature identification
- Preparation of detailed field notes and archaeological site records
- Use of ESRI data collection applications (Collector and Survey123) on tablets paired with Trimble R1 receivers
- Bachelors Degree in Anthropology with an emphasis in Archaeology
- A valid Drivers License
- 2+ years of field experience in archaeological survey
- Familiarity with artifact assemblages from northern New Mexico
- Experience with digital data collection methods, including ESRI data collection applications (Collector and Survey123) on tablets paired with Trimble R1 receivers
